Your Daily path

Day 01 - Arrival in Colombo

Land at Bandaranaike International Airport and transfer to an elegant eco-conscious boutique stay in Colombo. After the long journey, there is only one agenda tonight: unwind. A gentle walk along Galle Face Green as the Indian Ocean breeze sweeps across the seafront promenade and street food vendors light up their stalls offers the perfect soft introduction to this island’s layered, intoxicating character. Overnight in Colombo

Day 02 - Into the Cultural Heartland

Leave the coastal city and head inland toward the ancient Cultural Triangle, Sri Lanka’s archaeological heartland. The landscape softens and greens as urban roads give way to forest tracks. Arrive at your eco-lodge surrounded by rock and jungle and let the forest sounds replace urban noise. A slow meditation walk at dusk among ancient trees prepares you for what tomorrow holds. Overnight in Sigiriya

Day 03 - Heritage & Village Wellness

Ascend Sigiriya Rock Fortress before the heat builds – the views from the summit are worth every breathless step. Below, ancient water gardens and frescoed galleries tell the story of a king who chose cloud and stone for his palace. Afternoon: a village experience where canoe, cooking pot, and paddy field reconnect you to daily island life. Ayurvedic herbal therapy at the lodge completes the day. Overnight in Sigiriya

Day 04 - Where the East Coast Calls

Drive east across the island’s dry zone to Trincomalee, a legendary harbour town where the ocean meets an ancient Hindu temple on a clifftop. Visit Koneswaram Temple at sunset, its golden gopuram blazing against the blue. Check into your beachfront stay near Nilaveli and unwind with light ocean wellness: gentle breathing exercises on the sand, and evening yoga as the sky turns rose and violet. Overnight in Trincomalee

Day 05 - Ocean Wellness Day

Don a snorkel mask and slip beneath the surface at Pigeon Island National Park, the coral gardens alive with hawksbill turtles, blacktip reef sharks, and schools of parrotfish in neon hues. Sea kayaking and open swimming follow in calmer water. As the afternoon heat peaks, optional dolphin watching or a beachside yoga session restores equilibrium before a quiet dinner by the ocean. Overnight in Trincomalee

Day 06 - Pedalling Through Ancient Time

Drive inland to the ancient city of Polonnaruwa, a UNESCO World Heritage site of breathtaking scale and craftsmanship. Cycling through the ruins at a gentle pace allows the grandeur to sink in gradually: royal pools, moonstone thresholds, the immense Rankot Vihara stupa. As the afternoon cools, sit by the great Parakrama Samudraya reservoir for lake meditation – the water still, the sky vast. Overnight in Polonnaruwa

Day 07 - Hill Wellness Transition

Wind south and westward into the hill country as the road climbs and the air freshens. Arrive in Kandy to visit the Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic, beautifully situated beside the lake. Evening brings an Ayurvedic spa session, the signature treatment of this journey, at your wellness property. Optional lakeside walk as temple illuminations reflect in the water at night. Overnight in Kandy

Day 08 - Misty Plateaus & Manicured Gardens

Depart early into the highland chill for Horton Plains National Park, a dramatic, misty plateau at 2,100m. Walk to World’s End, where the cliff drops nearly 900 metres into cloud, then on to Baker’s Falls thundering through primaeval forest. Continue to Nuwara Eliya – the cool, colonial hill town and check into a luxury tea estate property for a restorative evening of tea, fire and fresh highland air. Overnight in Nuwara Eliya

Day 09 - The Legendary Train Through Tea

Board the legendary Nanu Oya to Ella train – arguably the most beautiful railway journey in Asia – as misty mountains, cascading waterfalls, and emerald tea estates scroll endlessly past the open window. Arrive in Ella and check into your hillside eco-lodge. The evening belongs to cafe culture, valley views, warm food, and the particular magic of watching night settle over the mountains. Overnight in Ella

Day 10 - Eco Adventure & Wellness

Visit the Nine Arch Bridge in the early morning mist, then hike to Little Adam’s Peak for the finest views in the Ella region. Light wellness follows: a spa session or breathing exercises in nature beside a stream. Optional visit to a thundering waterfall hidden in the forest above town. Return for evening journaling, meditation, and a farm-to-table dinner prepared with local highland ingredients. Overnight in Ella

Day 11 – Into the Wild

Drive south to Udawalawe National Park, one of Sri Lanka’s best destinations for elephant encounters in their most natural and undisturbed state. An afternoon safari through open grassland and reservoir reveals herds of wild elephants, water buffalo, crocodiles, and hundreds of bird species. Check into your lodge as the bush darkens, and an optional evening Ayurvedic massage completes this day of wild beauty. Overnight in Galle

Day 12 - Colonial Charm on the Southern Shore

Transfer to Galle, the crown jewel of Sri Lanka’s southern coast. The UNESCO-listed Dutch fort contains a world in miniature: art galleries, boutique cafes, lighthouse views, and centuries of layered colonial history all within ancient ramparts. An afternoon of slow wandering through cobblestone lanes, a farewell dinner with fresh seafood, and a sunset walk along the fort walls bring your journey to its finest conclusion. Overnight in Galle

Day 13 - Departure

A leisurely breakfast within the fort before the coastal highway carries you back toward Colombo – passing stilt fishermen, surf beaches, and roadside gem shops as the island offers one last, generous impression of itself. Transfer to Bandaranaike International Airport for your departure flight, carrying Sri Lanka’s warmth home inside you.
